GoJek, established in 2010, is one of South East Asia’s largest on-demand multi-service platforms and digital payment companies. GoJek operates in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, and the Philippines.

Most of the merchant acquisition industry relies on field sales reps and its partners, and the norm is to fly-blind. GoJek decided to challenge the status quo. Vymo is proud to be their tech partner along this journey.

Solution

GoJek identified that 80% of their time is spent on the field to meet, engage, and onboard merchants. They were unable to track the conversion rate, the effectiveness of operating programs, and thus could not attribute the causes of success or failure of the sales team’s target.

Recently, we ran a survey with our merchant business community. An interesting trend we saw was that 58% of merchant leaders are prioritizing product innovation to emerge stronger post the crisis, as compared to 21% who voted for the business model and service delivery innovation.
